I'm currently working with a highly regarded specialist engineering consultancy to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Sydney team.This is a genuinely hands-on role, working across large-scale Class 2 residential and commercial developments, with a particular focus on structural risk assessment, building diagnostics, forensic investigation and remediation.The chance You'll be involved in:Conducting structural inspections, investigations and site assessments across construction and completed buildingsUndertaking desktop reviews and risk assessments of structural drawings, identifying potential design and construction risksInvestigating defects including concrete cancer, movement, façade issues and waterproofing failuresDeveloping structural remediation, strengthening and rectification designsPreparing technical reports, specifications and expert witness documentationWorking closely with clients,



builders and other project stakeholders to communicate complex structural issues clearlyEnsuring designs and recommendations align with Australian Standards, NCC and relevant NSW legislationYou'll ideally have:6–8+ years' structural engineering experience, with strong exposure to Class 2 developments and a background in remediation, forensic engineering, building diagnostics or structural assessment.A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required, with CPEng/NPEng or Registered Design Practitioner (DBP) experience highly desirable.Strong knowledge of concrete pathology, waterproofing, strengthening techniques, Australian Standards and NCC is important, alongside excellent technical report-writing and communication skills.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer looking to move into a specialist role with significant technical ownership and exposure to complex, high-value projects.
