Senior Associate – Cyber Insurance & Incident ResponseMontgomery Advisory is partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Cyber Insurance team in Sydney or Melbourne.This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing areas of insurance law, advising insurers and corporate clients on cyber incidents, data breaches, privacy obligations, cyber coverage disputes and cyber-related litigation.You'll work on complex, high-profile matters alongside an experienced and team-oriented team, with significant client exposure and excellent opportunities for career progression.The RoleYou will advise on a broad range of cyber insurance and incident response matters, including:Managing cyber incident response matters from initial notification through to resolutionAdvising on privacy,



data breach and regulatory notification obligationsActing for insurers on cyber coverage issuesAdvising on disputes, recoveries and cyber-related litigationActing as coverage and monitoring counsel on significant cyber incidentsBriefing Counsel and coordinating technical experts, insurers and other stakeholders throughout the response processAbout YouYou will have:4+ years' post-admission experienceExperience in cyber, financial lines or commercial litigationInsurance law experience or exposure to the insurance sector (highly regarded)Strong drafting, analytical and investigative skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesA commercial, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine interest in cyber risk and emerging technologies
