This role is different.Our client is a long-established manufacturing business in Epping, supplying specialised products to industrial and infrastructure-related customers across Australia.
With local production and established supplier networks, this is a reliable place to build a long-term career.They are looking for a Senior Purchasing Officer who wants more than a routine purchasing role - someone ready to grow into a broader purchasing and logistics leadership role over time.You will be hands‐on from day one: managing purchase orders in SAP, following up suppliers, keeping stock on track, and working closely with production and warehouse teams.This is not a management title from day one.
However, the path forward is real, and the business is looking to invest in the right person.What you'll be doingRaising and following up purchase orders using SAPManaging supplier performance,



quotes and delivery timelinesCoordinating stock control, goods receiving and discrepancy checksWorking closely with production and warehouse on material planningBuilding the relationships and process knowledge to take on more responsibility over timeWhat you'll bringPurchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong SAP skills, with SAP Business One highly regardedConfident Excel and data skillsClear English communication, including direct supplier follow-upThe drive and maturity to grow into a broader role as you prove yourselfChinese language skills are a bonus, not a requirement.Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.This is an onsite role in Epping, best suited to someone who can commute by car.
Onsite parking is available.Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
