v=5kvFHtOzry4.About the jobAs the Fleet Business Partner, you will drive strategic fleet initiatives across SA Water by delivering safe, sustainable, and productive fleet services aligned with organisational objectives.
The role requires a strong heavy fleet management background, with expertise in fleet operations, asset lifecycle management, procurement, contractor performance, compliance, and project delivery.
Working closely with business units and senior stakeholders, you will use data-driven insights and commercial acumen to optimise fleet performance, lead innovative fleet solutions,
and support continuous improvement while ensuring a high standard of customer service and operational excellence.About Business Insights and ExcellenceThe Business Insights and Excellence business group turns data into trusted insights that help us make better decisions for our customers and community into the future.Working in this team means analysing complex information, responsibly managing finance and procurement, building meaningful reports and dashboards, and partnering with the business to solve real problems.
You'll help shape strategy, improve performance, and ensure decisions are informed, evidence based, and aligned to what matters most for South Australians.Your responsibilities for this opportunityFostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.You will:Lead and deliver high-risk, high-value fleet projects and procurement activitiesPartner with business units to assess fleet needs and develop strategic solutionsProvide expert advice on fleet assets including light vehicles, heavy fleet, and boatsDrive continuous improvement through data analysis, reporting, and performance optimisationEnsure compliance with relevant legislation including HVNL, WHS,
and Australian Road RulesDevelop and maintain fleet procedures, guidelines, and safety programsCollaborate with internal stakeholders and service providers to deliver customer-focused outcomesYour success in this role will come from:Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Project Management or related fieldStrong business acumen and strategic decision-making capabilityProven stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including with senior leadersExtensive experience in fleet or contract management, including performance analysisInnovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and asset optimisationProven experience applying the National Heavy Vehicle Law (NHVL) and related legislation, with demonstrated experience applying compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements within large, complex organisations (Essential)Experience with data analytics and reporting tools (desirable)Applications close 4pm, 12 August ****.A great customer experience is best achieved by having a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the community we serve.
