Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C;) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria's history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.About the opportunity:We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the TBM team on Terra Verde.
This role would primarily manage the Cross Passage Excavation and would be based in Burwood.Key Responsibilities:Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessaryAll coordination of TBM works in the vast tunnelling component of the projectAssign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders as well as subcontractor arrangementsLiaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction workCoordinate the activities of an engineering team, programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achievedEnsure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget.




Record completed work, costs incurred, materials used and retain progress drawingsKey Requirements:Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalentSpecific experience with tunnelling and road headers as well as sought-after TBM knowledgeDiploma of Project Management in Engineering Science, Building, Construction or equivalentMaster's Degree in Engineering or equivalentIdeally, previous experience with detail work sequence planningProject Engineer and operational experience is desirable with a minimum of 10 years in ConstructionProven experience cost planning and forecastingUnderstanding of the Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan, Environmental Management Plan and Projects Design Management PlanPlease be advised that this project is a large scale T1 project with potential for 24/7 shift work, whilst we will aim for weekend work to be split fairly between employees there may be role requirements on occasion for evening shift work.Why Join Us?
