Your new company An established and growing bookkeeping and advisory firm in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their busy and supportive team.Working with a portfolio of clients across a range of industries, there will be a particular solid focus on supporting legal firms and solicitors, making previous experience working with legal clients essential.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong bookkeeper who enjoys managing client relationships, solving problems and providing high-quality financial support to businesses.Your new roleManaging a portfolio of bookkeeping clients, with a particular focus on legal practicesEnd-to-end bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general ledger maintenanceTrust accounting and trust reconciliations in line with legal industry requirementsPreparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and payroll taxPayroll processing and related compliance obligationsMonth-end reporting and management accountsCash flow management and forecastingLiaising directly with clients,



accountants and external stakeholdersAssisting with process improvements and implementation of best practice bookkeeping proceduresSupporting clients with accounting software queries and system optimisationWhat you'll need to succeedProven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper within a public practice, bookkeeping or accounting services environmentPrevious experience managing bookkeeping for legal firms is essentialStrong understanding of trust accounting and legal industry compliance requirementsExperience managing multiple clients simultaneouslyStrong knowledge of Xero and cloud-based accounting systemsSound understanding of GST, BAS, payroll and bookkeeping compliance obligationsExcellent communication and client relationship management skillsHighly organised with strong attention to detailAbility to work autonomously while remaining a collaborative team playerWhat you'll get in returnJoin a well-established and highly regarded bookkeeping practiceDiverse and interesting client portfolioSuper supportive and collaborative team cultureEastern Suburbs office location, close to local shops, cafés & the beach!
