Planned Resources are working with a hospitality operator with 250+ venues across Australia.
The company is looking to bring the town planning work in-house for their Queensland expansion and this role will be managing approximately 25 projects annually (scaling to 50 in FY **** and beyond).
You will be responsible for preparing and lodging development applications, responding to RFIs and council requests, managing council relationships across Queensland, and providing strategic direction to Design Managers and Project Managers on planning matters.
You will also work with external consultants when it comes to complex planning matters.
The type of work will include change of use applications, floor plan optimisation, site approvals, intensification projects, beer garden expansions, and rooftop installations.
Projects range from 6-9 months duration with complexity varying by municipality and site type (shopping centres,



residential proximity).
This is a solo role building from scratch with potential for future expansion.
You will work alongside Project Managers and Marketing Managers, but you will be the only Town Planner.
Ideal candidate will have:
At least 6+ years' experience as a Town Planner ideally with strong consulting background in QueenslandHotel or tavern experience – this is a high priorityGreenfield/group-up build experienceAbility to negotiate commercially while maintaining relationshipsStrong networking and relationship‐building capabilitiesAbility to work autonomously without a lot of supervision
This is an excellent chance for someone to build and shape a new planning function from the ground up with significant autonomy.

Salary is up to $150k inclusive of superannuation.
We are able to negotiate depending on the candidate.
