A Federal Government Department is looking to engage 2 Data Engineers to support the delivery of a range of solutions centred around data migration, data integration, data pipelines and enhancing the departments analytics capabilities.Initial 12 month contract with a 12 month extension options out to August **** (2 years total)Estimated start date August **** (pending onboarding and availability)An NV1 Security clearance required (you must be an Australian Citizen to go through the vetting process).

Hourly rate contractPreferred Location: Canberra, ACTHybrid working optionsKey Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with the selection and development of designing engineering methods, tools, and techniques for on-premise and hybrid data engineering solutionsImplement and assist in developing structure and data storing for usage in analytics and sharing with applicationsAssist in designing, developing, and implementing structured and unstructured data pipelines ensuring data is fit for purposeUnderstand the integration, consolidation, curation, migration,



and transformation of data and aligns to relevant guidelinesCollaborate with business stakeholders to determine the required data sets and analysis toolsRequired Skills:Advanced SQL skills to extract, explore, and manipulate complex, large-scale datasetsExperience delivering Microsoft 365 solutions will be highly regardedExperience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks or Power BI would be desirablePractical competency in programming languages like Python for automation and data manipulationExperience designing, building, and maintaining automated data pipelines and integration workflowsFamiliarity with relational/non-relational databases and cloud or hybrid data environments in Azure3+ years of hands‐on experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics rolesWhat is on offerThe chance to drive data integration, migration, and pipeline development across hybrid and cloud (Azure/M365) environments.The prospect to work on a long term project that is utilising some of the latest technology to deliver data migration, integration and analytics outcomes.12 month initial contract with a 12 month extension option
