Our culture is team-oriented, agile, and focused on continuous improvement as we scale.About the RoleWe're looking for a technically strong Financial Accountant to join our Brisbane-based finance team.Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the month-end close, drive the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, and play a leading role in strengthening our systems, controls and reporting as the business grows.
This is a hands-on, technical role suited to someone who wants to own their numbers end-to-end and have real influence over how the finance function operates.What You'll Be DoingMonth-End Close & Financial ReportingOwn and manage the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completionPrepare and review general ledger, balance sheet and bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving variancesPrepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting commentaryMaintain the integrity of the general ledger, including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed asset accountingPrepare cash flow reporting and analysisCompliance & ReportingAssist with preparation and lodging of monthly BAS, payroll tax, and FBTSupport budgeting and forecasting processesSystems & Process ImprovementIdentify and lead improvements to finance systems,



processes and controls to support a scaling businessDrive automation and efficiency across reconciliations, reporting and month-endBusiness Support & Process ImprovementWork closely with the Financial Controller and wider business to provide insight and support decision-makingAct as a key point of contact for finance-related queries across the businessProvide guidance and support to junior team members, reviewing work and helping develop their finance functionAbout YouYou're technically capable, proactive and detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in improving how things are done.
