We work with consumers, their carers, families and other community agencies to identify and address their needs, coordinate their care and assist in recovery.
We are seeking a Senior Clinician (Nursing/Social Work/Occupational Therapy/Psychology) who would like to join our team to provide a highly responsive and flexible service for our consumers, and support your colleagues to deliver safe, effective interventions.
The Senior Clinician plays an essential role on the team; providing for both delivery of a collaborative, recovery-oriented approach to our consumers and role modelling, and supporting best practice to be delivered by your Case Manager colleagues.This is a fantastic chance for an experienced public mental health clinician looking to take the next step in their career.
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team on a temporary basis (until August, ****), supporting both our consumers and case managers.
In this role, you will play an important part in strengthening our team's ability to deliver collaborative, person-centred, and recovery-oriented care to community consumers, while working alongside a highly supportive leadership and multidisciplinary team.About youTo be successful in this role you will possess:ExperienceMinimum of five years post qualification experience,
including public mental health experienceCurrent registration with AHPRA or eligible for AASW membershipAn active clinical supervision arrangement, or willingness to engage in same upon commencementProvision of clinical supervisionCoaching and mentoring of junior staffAllocation of clinical staffing resources to maintain a safe working environment, and provide effective clinical interventionLeading workplace and clinical incident response and resolutionSkills and abilitiesClinical and risk assessment skillsClinical documentationSound understanding of the role under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act ****Commitment to high quality careWork as part of a diverse, multidisciplinary teamManage an episode of psychiatric treatment from intake to discharge with continuity and to a deadlineCommunicate clinical information in an accurate, timely manner in an ISOBAR formatCommunicate and escalate safety and systemic issues with clinical and operational leadersMaintain a daily diary and continuously triage your work to meet clinical and operational demandsKeep yourself and your colleagues safe, and be reliable under pressureReflect on your practice and implement feedback givenContribute to continuous improvement initiativesProficiency in Microsoft Office suitePost Graduate qualifications in mental health essential for nursing staff as per the Enterprise AgreementHealthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
