We know that working together is the only way we can achieve what is necessary for a healthier future.About the roleEastern Health's Infant,Childand Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS) encompasses fourcommunity teams, five specialist teams, an adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit, and the Perinatal Emotional Health Service (PEHS).
PEHS is a specialised, multidisciplinary servicecomprisinga Team Leader, Consultant Psychiatrists, Senior Psychiatric Registrars, mental health clinicians, ClinicalMidwife Consultants and Lived Experience Worker.The Perinatal Emotional Health Service (PEHS) is a specialist multidisciplinary team providing mental health assessment, treatment, and clinical case management for women during the perinatal period.
The team works in close partnership with antenatal services, primary health providers, and maternal and child health services to ensure accessible,culturally sensitive, and integrated care.About youPEHS is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic senior clinician to join the team.
The position will be based at Box Hill Hospital with a flexible approach to engaging clients,
including outreach to a satellite clinic one day per week.As the successful candidate you will have a demonstrated capacity to engage with women in the perinatal period, undertake bio-psychosocial assessments, provide a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions and effectively manage an allocated case load.
You will be supported by an experienced, supportive multidisciplinary team working under the leadership of the Team Leader and Consultant Psychiatrist.To be successful in this role you shouldpossess:Awareness of the therapeutic approaches to perinatal mental health and best practice guidelinesA strong commitment to high-quality careWillingness to contribute to research andrecent experience withdata collectionExcellent communication and organisational skillsThe ability to work as part of amultidisciplinaryteamComputer skills and the ability to work with Word,Exceland PowerPointHealthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year.
