The entire company is going all‐in on AI‐enabled workflows, and this role is central to making that real and keeping our platform secure at the infrastructure level.Job DescriptionWhat you'll actually doYou own architecture and technical direction across AWS, security, platform reliability, data, and AI infrastructure.
You'll be building and refining the platform, as well as contributing to feature development.
Architecture related work will initially take *****% of your time.Your day to day:Owns architecture decisions across DevSecOps, Platform/Reliability, Data, and AI infrastructureBuild secure‐by‐design practices into the platform: IAM, cloud security, secure engineeringSet standards for platform scaling, resilience,



and reliabilityPartner with our Data Engineer to build out data lake and analytics capabilityDevelop our AI infrastructure including model and agent integration, secure AI data pipelines, platform‐level AI guardrailsContribute to hands‐on feature developmentRefactor code and pay down technical debt when possibleQualificationsWhat We're Looking ForDeep technical ownership.
You've led architecture decisions for a platform or system end‐to‐end, not just implemented against someone else's design.
You know how to make the call on AWS, security, and platform trade‐offs and stand behind it.Genuine hands‐on orientation.
You still want to be in the codebase.
You'd rather build the thing you designed than hand it off entirely.What We Need From YouStrong AWS infrastructure experience in production: Serverless, Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS Fargate, EventBridge, CDKStrong security expertise in backend/cloud systems: secure architecture, IAM, cloud securityDeep backend engineering designing and evolving microservices or distributed systemsA track record of architectural ownership, not just feature implementationFamiliarity with agent tooling concepts: tool calling, MCP/tool integration, guardrails, evals, tracing/observability, and permissioningExperience with our tech stack including TypeScript, React,



and GitHub ActionsIdeally you hold AWS certifications, in particular AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)Previous experience in FinTech, payments, or finance industry is preferredRead this before you applyYou'll thrive here if you love owning a wide technical lane with real autonomy, enjoy building as much as designing, and want a senior track that stays technical rather than pulling you toward management.It's not the right fit if you're aiming for a people‐management track, if your depth is mainly AI/ML rather than backend/AWS/security, or if you've mostly implemented against architecture set by others rather than owned it yourself.Compensation for this role is up to approx $200k + Super + ESOP.
