We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Brisbane team.

lot grading and drainage infrastructureUndertake documentation and design tasks with an advanced working knowledge in the use of 12D and Auto CAD software (minimum requirement)Undertake documentation and design tasks with an advanced working knowledge in the use of XP-Rafts, DRAINS, TUFLOW, MUSIC software (desirable but not essential)Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving design issuesCoordinate design and drafting activities with drafters to provide drawing sets to Orion standardsLiaise with various project stakeholders including; clients, consultants, and relevant authoritiesManage the invoicing and budgeting of projectsEnsure quality control processes for each project are implemented and documentedEnsure work output is of a technically high standard, meets client needs, and activities are commercially viableAssist with growing and developing the company and its engineering standards to help provide a unique and modern design methodologies to be adopted by the companyProvide technical support to peers, as well mentor junior staff to further develop the knowledge base and assist in career progressionTo promote leadership and engagement across project teams and business units such that projects are executed in a manner that ensures delivery in line with client expectationsAssistance with the preparation of fee proposals for new projects and contract variations that may span multiple disciplinesEnsure work output is of a technically high standard, meets client needs, and activities are commercially viableAdoption, promotion and adherence to the Orion's Quality Management (QMS) and Work Health & Safety (WHS) SystemsSkills and ExpertiseBachelor Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum 10+ years of civil engineering design experience in land developmentResidential subdivision design, including earthworks, roads, drainage, water and sewerAdvanced experience in the use of 12D and Auto CAD software (minimum requirement)Advanced experience in the use of XP-Rafts, DRAINS, TUFLOW and MUSIC software (desirable but not essential)Demonstrated understanding and compliance with Australian standards and LGA road and drainage design principlesExcellent communication, computer and time management skillsTo be able to work both independently and as part of a teamResidential subdivision design, including earthworks, roads, drainage, water, sewer and local QLD experience (desirable)Stormwater management modelling (desirable)Employee BenefitsProfessional development, mentoring & coachingA range of flexible work optionsCommunity days and cultural celebrationsAccess to innovative technologyEmployee assistance programAnnual performance appraisal and learning & development plansRegular team-building activities, social activities, and team sportsPaid parental leaveOrion Group highly values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer.
