wayss is a leading provider of family violence, homelessness and housing services in Melbourne's south east, supporting women, children and families across Greater Dandenong, Frankston, Casey and Cardinia.We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join The Orange Door integrated team as a Maternity Leave cover, supporting families experiencing family violence and vulnerability.About The Orange DoorThe Orange Door is Victoria's integrated access point for people experiencing or using family violence, and for families requiring support with child wellbeing.The Southern Melbourne Area Orange Door services Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia.
Practitioners may be required to work across these locations to meet operational needs.About the roleReporting to the Integrated Team Leader, the Senior Practitioner plays a key role within a multidisciplinary team, responding to complex presentations involving family violence and child wellbeing.You will:Work directly with clients to provide intake, assessment, risk assessment and safety planningSupport and mentor practitioners within the teamContribute to a positive, inclusive and reflective team cultureApply the MARAM framework and other relevant practice frameworks in daily practiceThis role includes participation in a duty roster, delivering face‐to‐face and telephone responses.Key responsibilitiesConduct MARAM‐aligned risk assessment and prioritisation using whole‐of‐family approachesCollaborate in integrated risk assessment,



planning and case conferencingRespond to family violence and child wellbeing presentationsAssess eligibility and provide material aid and practical supportsMaintain accurate Hub CRM records and comply with FVISS and privacy requirementsEngage in supervision, training and professional developmentSupport referral management and operational decision‐makingProvide advanced practice leadership for complex and high‐risk casesMentor practitioners through consultation and informal supervisionAssist with case reviews, reflective practice and team developmentContribute to a positive, accountable team cultureSupervise students and participate in community and skilled educationAbout youYou are an experienced and resilient practitioner who thrives in fast‐paced environments and is committed to high‐quality, trauma‐informed practice.You bring:Strong collaboration and relationship‐building skillsThe ability to work confidently with complexity and riskA reflective and accountable practice approachA commitment to continuous learning and professional growthRelevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or a related disciplineCompliance with Family Violence Minimum Qualifications (Rec 209)Minimum two years' experience working with:Family violenceChild safety and wellbeing concernsDemonstrated experience in risk assessment,



safety planning and whole‐of‐family approachesExperience providing mentoring, consultation or practice support to peersCurrent Driver's LicenceValid Working with Children Check (Employment)Successful completion of pre‐employment checks (police and identity checks)Why join wayss?
