We have established a culture that prioritises our people and fosters strong community connections.Please note: Costerfield Operations is a residential mine and relocation to the local area is essential for this role.About The RoleReporting to the Geology Manager, the Senior Resource Geologist plays a key leadership role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant resource estimates while leading and developing the Resource Geology team.Based at Costerfield, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of resource models, ensuring high-quality geological data supports both operational and strategic decision-making.
You will work closely with technical and operational teams to provide reliable resource information and drive best-practice resource estimation processes.The key responsibilities of the role include:Lead, mentor and develop the Resource Geology team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture and building future capability through coaching, succession planning and recruitment support.Provide technical leadership in geological resource modelling, estimation, reconciliation and reporting, ensuring compliance with JORC and industry best practice.Develop, maintain and continuously improve resource models, geological datasets and QAQC processes to deliver accurate, reliable resource estimates.Identify and support infill and resource conversion drilling programs to enhance resource confidence and mine planning outcomes.Manage geological contractors and ensure work is delivered safely on schedule and to a high standard.Champion a strong safety culture through proactive hazard management,
