About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor or Senior Associate to join our Insurance group in our Brisbane office.Providing clients with legal advice on indemnity, liability, quantum and third party contributionRegularly reviewing applicable case law and legislative changesConducting effective legal research and analysis to produce timely, commercial and legally accurate adviceAttending settlement conferences and mediationsInstructing counsel at court applications and trialsManaging a robust workload, including prioritising work and delivering services effectivelyEffective communication with stakeholders to achieve valued customer experience outcomesDeveloping an understanding of client operations and strategyManaging prospective client relationshipsContinual professional development and managing MCLE requirementsAbout you2+ years' PQEA desire to be an integral member of a strong, cohesive and down to earth teamExcellent work ethic and problem solving skillsStrong attention to detail, time management and organisational skillsA genuine commitment to customer experiencePrevious exposure to Business Development and a natural ability to build strong client relationshipsAbility to manage client expectations and run matters autonomouslyInterested in establishing a long-term successful career with Colin Biggers & PaisleyAbility to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a teamCommercial acumenA strong, plain language communication stylePrevious experience in managing workers' compensation common law claims highly desirableAbout usAt Colin Biggers & Paisley, we're here to make a difference.
