Ambrose Construct Group is looking for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team in Roselands, Prestons and Mascot.Reporting to the General Manager of HR and Organisation Development, you will provide trusted HR advisory and operational support across the business, partnering with leaders and employees to deliver effective people practices and positive employee outcomes.This is a hands-on role where you will support a broad range of HR and employee relations matters while working closely with the General Manager of Human Resources and Organisation Development to deliver key people initiatives and manage day-to-day HR operations.If you're an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, building strong relationships, and providing practical, people-focused advice, we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleIn this role, you will:Provide HR advisory and operational support across the businessSupport employee relations matters, including performance management, misconduct, grievances, and disciplinary processesProvide practical guidance to leaders on people management matters, policies, and employment legislationPrepare HR advice, options, and recommendations for review with the General Manager HR and Organisation DevelopmentAssist with the formulation of contracts, change of employment conditions letters etc.Participate in employee meetings, performance discussions, and other HR-related meetings as requiredRespond to employee and management queries relating to employment conditions, contracts, and HR mattersAssist with the development and maintenance of employment contracts, policies,
and proceduresSupport the onboarding and training of new HR team membersFacilitate fortnightly employee orientation sessionsSupport employee engagement and culture initiatives, including surveys and action plansAssist with exit interviews and analysis of employee exit trendsContribute to workforce planning and succession planning activitiesAssist with HR reporting, trend analysis, and identifying areas requiring targeted HR supportSupport the delivery of strategic HR initiatives, including engagement and wellbeing programsMaintain accurate, confidential, and compliant HR recordsPromote a positive workplace culture and employee experienceMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practiceTravel will be required between our Sydney offices located in Prestons, Roselands and Mascot on a rotating basis.About YouYou will be an experienced HR professional who is confident providing advice across a diverse workforce and managing a variety of employee relations matters.You will ideally have:A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or 3+ years of relevant HR experienceExperience in HR, Industrial Relations,
and/or Employee RelationsExperience working with modern awards and Australian employment legislationKnowledge of the Clerks – Private Sector Award and/or Building and Construction General In office Award is highly desirableStrong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR practicesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesThe ability to prioritise and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environmentHigh-level computer skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systemsA proactive and solutions-focused approachThe ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing, KPI-driven teamA high level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityWhy Join Ambrose?
