while assisting Managers and Partners with advisory projects and client meetings.A significant component of the position is mentoring and developing junior accountants, helping to build technical capability and contributing to the overall performance of the team.Responsibilities include:Preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS/IASSupporting hospitality clients with budgeting, cash flow forecasting and scenario planningConsidering operational factors including seasonality, events and staffing/roster impactsAssisting Managers and Partners with advisory projects and client meetingsManaging workflow and coordinating task allocation to ensure work is delivered on timeIdentifying opportunities to improve processes and workflow efficienciesMentoring, coaching and developing junior team membersMaintaining clear communication with clients and internal stakeholdersManaging deadlines, budgets and client expectationsEscalating issues early and providing proactive solutionsAbout YouYou will have:4–5+ years' experience in Australian public practice or Business ServicesRelevant accounting degree and CA qualified, with completion of the CA program preferredStrong technical knowledge across accounting standards and Australian taxation, including income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax and land taxExperience preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns and compliance workStrong client relationship and communication skillsExperience mentoring or supervising junior accountantsExcellent time management and ability to prioritise competing deadlinesA proactive mindset and willingness to embrace change and improve processesThe confidence to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team-oriented team environment
