National Role – Leading the Business Partnering TeamDrive consistency across all cyclical people processesInfluential Role supporting the Head of People & CultureLead a up-to-date, evolving Business Partnering team in a national firm undergoing significant transformation, with scope to influence governance, consistency and operational uplift.A newly created senior People & Culture role offering operational leadership across a national P&C; function.
Working closely with the Head of People & Culture, you will act as a trusted 2IC in a role that drives consistency in HR advice and cyclical activity.The firm operates a modern, corporate‐style structure with a CEO, COO and executive leadership model, creating a more balanced and commercially grounded decision‐making environment than traditional partner‐led firms.
The P&C; function is also undergoing a significant uplift in sophistication, giving this role a genuine opportunity to shape improved processes, governance and ways of working.You will lead and coach a small team, oversee first‐line advisory work nationally, and manage a modest personal client portfolio to stay connected to the rhythm of the business.
The role has a strong operational focus, ensuring high‐quality advice, disciplined governance and alignment across all offices.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a small team of Advisors and a Business PartnerOversee first‐line advisory work nationally,



ensuring consistent and high‐quality adviceCoordinate and govern key people cycles including graduate onboarding, planning sessions, promotions and remuneration processesDrive national consistency across five offices, working closely with the Employee Relations and Policy teamsContribute to HRIS implementation, change management and reporting improvementsSupport strategic and transformation initiatives, including future business acquisitionsMaintain a modest personal client portfolio to stay connected to day‐to‐day operational needsSuccess in this role requires:Strong legal‐sector experience and understanding of CPD, the Legal Services Award and the nuances of legal practiceProven people leadership, ideally managing Advisors and Business PartnersConfidence with complex ER matters and first‐line advisory oversightExperience operating nationally across multiple officesAbility to drive consistency, coach a dispersed team and operate at paceComfort working in a function still on a maturity journeyIt is a prerequisite that candidates have prior experience working within a Professional Services workplace, although this does not necessarily need to be their current setting.Candidates currently operating at a Senior HR Business Partner / Lead HR Business Partner level, or HR Managers from smaller Professional Services firms with the capability to scale, are encouraged to apply.
