Jarl Modern Construction Pty Ltd - Eight Mile Plains QLDJarl Modern Construction is a growing modular construction company delivering complex residential, commercial and multi-storey projects across Australia.We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager to take ownership of project delivery from commencement through to completion.This is not a role for someone who simply manages the day-to-day running of a site.
We are looking for a senior construction professional who can take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, including programme, cost, quality, subcontractors, consultants, client relationships, WHS and contractual obligations.You will be the person who knows what is happening across the project, identifies issues early and takes action to keep the project moving.What you'll be responsible forTaking overall responsibility for project delivery from mobilisation through to practical completion and handoverManaging project programmes, milestones, resources and critical pathsLeading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliersManaging construction sequencing, productivity and site operationsMonitoring project costs, budgets, variations, procurement and financial performanceManaging subcontractor performance and resolving issues quickly and effectivelyWorking closely with the client, consultants, authorities and other key stakeholdersManaging design coordination and ensuring construction information is available when requiredIdentifying project risks and implementing practical solutions before they impact programme, cost or qualityEnsuring projects are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contracts and quality requirementsAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is confident taking ownership of a project and making decisions.You will ideally have:Significant experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager,



Construction Manager or similar senior construction roleExperience managing substantial project values and multidisciplinary teamsStrong commercial and contractual understandingProven experience managing subcontractors and consultantsStrong programme and cost management skillsExcellent understanding of construction methodology and sequencingStrong knowledge of Australian construction practices, WHS and quality requirementsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilityThe confidence to have difficult conversations when requiredExcellent organisational and documentation skillsA practical, solutions-focused approachThe ability to work autonomously while keeping senior management properly informedExperience with modular, prefabricated, multi-storey or off-site construction will be highly regarded.Relevant construction qualifications and QBCC licensing requirements will also be considered favourably.What We're Looking ForMost importantly, we want someone who takes ownership.You don't need to be told every step of the way what needs to happen.
