About the roleA federal agency in Canberra is modernising its desktop workplace for thousands of staff, moving from a legacy SCCM-managed fleet to a fully Intune-managed Windows 11 SOE.
As part of this, they need a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own application packaging and endpoint configuration, working closely with the cyber security and identity teams as devices transition from hybrid-joined to a fully Entra-joined SOE with a passwordless sign-in experience.Key responsibilitiesPackage, test and deploy applications using Microsoft Intune, covering both Win32 and MSIX formatsConfigure and maintain Intune device management and compliance policies for Windows 11Review SCCM/MECM deployment task sequences and extend Windows Autopilot automationWrite PowerShell scripts to automate deployment and operational tasksProduce clear technical documentation,
knowledge base articles and support guidesProvide senior level technical support for the SOE and endpoint management environmentAbout youExtensive hands-on experience packaging and deploying Win32 and MSIX applications through IntuneComfortable configuring and troubleshooting Intune for hybrid and cloud joined Windows 11 devicesBroad endpoint services experience across SOE, SCCM/MECM, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP and VPNA strong technical writer, able to turn complex configuration into clear documentationAble to work onsite in Canberra and hold or be able to obtain a government security clearanceMust be an Australian CitizenWhat's on offerA 12 month contract with two further 12 month extension options, working in a hybrid arrangement from a Canberra office.
