About The Role
FTI Consulting is looking for a proven Leader to join its Sydney valuations and forensics team. As a key member, you will be an integral part of this fast‐growing practice. FTI Consulting has a dedicated team of valuation specialists providing valuations of businesses, intangible assets and many types of financial assets for taxation, strategy, regulatory, M&A;, accounting and litigation purposes. A career in valuation services is exciting for many reasons. On a day‐to‐day basis we help our clients by analysing and assessing the value drivers of their businesses and intellectual property. Each year we interview dozens of entrepreneurs and c‐suite management, and along the way we develop deep expertise in many fascinating industries.

What You'll Do
Execute a wide range of valuation engagements for strategy, transactions, regulatory, tax reporting, accounting, and litigation purposes
Support day‐to‐day engagement execution, including interaction with clients, financiers, auditors, tax advisers and legal advisers
Undertake company and industry analysis
Participate in interviews with senior management of our clients to understand their businesses
Perform financial, ratio and comparable company analysis
Perform valuations of shares, businesses, debt, intangible assets, and quantify loss and damage in commercial disputes
Compose clear and concise written reports summarising our valuation analysis
Assist with new business development activities
Develop financial models and reporting templates
Contribute to company initiatives and team development activities
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting,
Finance, Economics or related disciplines
10 years of professional experience, including in business and/or intangible asset valuations
Strong understanding of, and interest in, valuations and corporate finance
Experience in writing reports
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle and analyse complex financial information
Experience in leading small teams
Ability to work on multiple client matters at one time
Strong work ethic and integrity, and high level of professionalism
Willingness to travel for work
