We are seeking an experienced
SeniorProjectEngineer
- Electrical to join our team, based at our Goulburn office.

This senior role within Hidrive's Engineering Department acts as a technical authority, providing depth,guidanceand problem-solving leadership across the engineering team. You will take ownership of complex electrical engineering problems, support production and service escalations, and drive engineering
standards,processesand
innovation across the business - while helping to develop the capability of our junior engineers.

About you
n
We are seeking candidates with7+ years' experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing or engineering environment, with demonstrated experience leading complex engineering problems, advanced electrical analysis (circuit design, load calculations, harness/system design or equivalent), root cause investigations with system-level outcomes, and driving engineering standards or process improvements.
n
Experience in automotive electrical engineering, vehicle wiring and harness design, complianceor
regulatoryengineering
(e.g.ADR, AS/NZS wiring standards),or product development/R&D; environments will be highly regarded, though not essential. If you have strong engineering judgement,
thriveoperatingwith
autonomy in ambiguous, high-pacedenvironments, and enjoy guiding others without needing formal authority to do it, then this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Key Accountabilities

Provide technical leadership and act as the senior engineering authority for complex electrical systems, ensuring safe,compliantand high-quality design outcomes.
n




Lead the design,analysisand validation of electrical systems, including power distribution, protection, controlsystemsand vehicle electrical architectures.
n
Drive engineering excellence by developing
andmaintainingtechnical
standards,
designmethodologiesand
validation frameworks.
n
Lead the resolution of complex technical
issues,identifyingroot
causes and implementing robust, long-term engineering solutions.
n
Provide technical leadership across engineering projects, ensuring
consistency,qualityand
successful delivery of complex programs.
n
Support and develop engineers through technical guidance, designreviewsand structured knowledge sharing.
n
Lead product validation activities, ensuring designs meet performance,
reliability,durabilityand
regulatory compliance requirements.
n
Identifyand implement continuous improvements that enhance engineering capability, product
quality,efficiencyand
scalability.
n
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality,Salesand Service teams to deliver practical, commercially sound engineering solutions.
n
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry standards and regulatory requirements, driving innovation andmaintaining the organisation's technical competitiveness.
n
Apply sound engineering judgement to balance technical integrity,



manufacturability, cost,deliveryand
businessobjectiveswhen
making design decisions.

Contribute to the development of new products, vehicle platforms and advanced electrical technologies that support the company's long-term growth.
