MacKellar is the mining services contractor for Bravus' Carmichael Mine, operating one of Queensland's largest mobile mining fleets.
We are seeking an experienced Reliability & Maintenance Planning Superintendent to lead our planning and reliability function, ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently and at peak performance.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving maintenance strategies, improving equipment reliability and leading a high-performing planning team in a large-scale mining environment.

About the Role
You will be responsible for leading the site's Reliability and Maintenance Planning function to maximise equipment availability, improve maintenance efficiency and support safe production outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the Reliability and Maintenance Planning team across the mobile fleetDeveloping and implementing preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance strategiesManaging maintenance planning,



scheduling and execution to optimise fleet availabilityMonitoring equipment performance and analysing reliability trends to identify improvement opportunitiesPreparing and presenting weekly and monthly maintenance performance reportsEnsuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and within budgetDriving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet reliability and maintenance performanceCollaborating with Operations, Maintenance and Technical teams to achieve site performance objectivesMaintaining accurate maintenance documentation and reporting
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An Engineering qualification or Trade qualification in Plant Mechanics, Heavy Diesel or a related disciplineDemonstrated leadership experience in Maintenance Planning, Reliability or Asset Management within mining or heavy industryStrong knowledge of mobile mining equipment maintenance and reliability principlesExperience with maintenance planning systems and reporting toolsExcellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skillsA proactive approach to continuous improvement and team leadershipCurrent Queensland Driver LicenceCurrent Standard 11Current G1, G8 and G9 Supervisor competenciesCurrent G2 (RIIRIS402) Risk Management competency
