Role: Senior Clinical Systems Manager, UKLocations: UKDuration: Full time, PermanentReports to: Head of IT, UKTalent Street is looking for a Senior Clinical Systems Manager for one of our clients based in the UK.
The candidate can be based anywhere in Australia but must be:Willing to relocate to the UKMust have working rights in the UKAbout the role:This role is a pivotal position within the UK Information Technology function.
The key orientation of the role is to partner with internal stakeholders to deliver on key growth and business objectives.This role will manage and support all related solutions.
This includes applications used across medical oncology, haematology, radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging and covers supporting systems such as billing systems, interfacing and third‐party connections.The Senior Clinical Systems Manager will work closely with vendors, partners and the wider Clinical Systems team to support their solution delivery.
They will have a close working relationship with the UK Infrastructure team who will provide the supporting infrastructure, security and network connectivity to support the applications.Initially focusing on the current Cancer Centre footprint, this role will lead on the implementation and rollout of clinical systems in line with the growth strategy, across the UK.Position Requirements / Key Selection CriteriaEducation and Certification:Tertiary computing related qualification preferredIndustry certifications related to core systems such as Microsoft technologies,
Citrix, ITIL or Cloud computing certificationsTo demonstrate significant expertise, in the IT industry, preferably obtained in a clinical environmentUnderstanding patient management and clinical workflowsAble to support a variety of IT platforms and environmentsFamiliarity with common project management methodologiesDemonstrable experience of leading a small to medium team or can demonstrate leading large projects including task assignment and resource allocationKnowledge and Experience:Strong technology and systems backgroundExperience with clinical information systemsAdvanced knowledge of clinical systems managementInternal consulting skillsStrong understanding of technical issue resolution workflow and systemsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to interact in a professional manner and build relationships with a broad range of peopleAbility to think out of the box & innovate when requiredKnowledge / Experience of operating IT Systems in a regulatedPersonal Attributes:Focused on supporting the needs of patients i.e., IT's customers' customersOccasional after-hours' work for upgrades or urgent issue resolutionOn-Call arrangement participationWilling to travel occasionallyAble to work autonomously and see jobs through to completion with minimal direct supervisionBe self-motivated and able to solve technical and business-related problemsBe presentable, courteous and respectful always
