Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline (working across defence, government, utilities, transport, and critical infrastructure sectors nationally) , we are looking for a high-performing Senior Contracts Administrator to join our commercial team in Rhodes, NSW.
This role suits an experienced CA from a Tier 1 or leading Tier 2 contractor who wants greater ownership, direct influence, and exposure to nationally significant projects without corporate bureaucracy slowing decision-making.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end commercial administration of projects and major subcontract packages across multiple infrastructure projects nationally.
You will play a key role in protecting project margin, managing commercial risk, and driving subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
This is not a processing role.
We are looking for someone commercially astute, decisive, and confident operating in high-performance project environments.
Key Responsibilities
Contract & Commercial Management
Administer upstream and downstream contracts
Review head contracts and manage contractual obligations
Prepare departures, notices, claims, EOTs, and formal correspondence
Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risk
Procurement & Subcontracts
Prepare scopes of work and tender packages
Manage tender evaluations and subcontract negotiations
Drive procurement strategy aligned to project objectives
Administer subcontract agreements and performance
Cost Control & Forecasting
Lead weekly commercial reviews
Manage cost-to-complete forecasting and financial performance
Monitor variations, claims, commitments, and project exposure
Assess subcontractor claims and variations
Prepare formal contractual responses
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with project managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
Work collaboratively while confidently protecting commercial outcomes
What We're Looking For
You are likely coming from a Tier 1 or strong Tier 2 contractor environment and are comfortable operating on complex infrastructure or construction projects.
You will bring:
Proven experience as a Contracts Administrator on projects valued $5M–$50M+
Minimum 3-5 years of Contracts Administrator experience
Strong understanding of head contracts and subcontract administration
Experience across infrastructure, utilities, defence, civil, or major construction projects
High-level commercial acumen and negotiation capability
Strong contractual knowledge including variations, EOTs, claims, and risk management
Ability to work autonomously and influence project outcomes
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Construction, infrastructure, utilities, or engineering project experience
Australian Citizenship or unrestricted Australian working rights
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, or similar
