You'll manage your own portfolio of BAS clients, review and help train junior accountants, and work closely with our Client Managers and Partners as you build toward taking on more direct client contact and a broader portfolio over time.The role offers flexibility regarding location and working arrangements.There will be a requirement to spend approximately 1 week in Longreach every quarter,



with travel and accommodation paid for by Ringrose Button.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial statements and income tax returns for reviewManage a portfolio of BAS clientsReview the work of junior accountants and provide training and support to help them developSupport Client Managers and Partners across a broader portfolio of business and primary production clientsAssist with tax planning, CGT, and FBT compliance under guidanceBuild technical knowledge across multi-entity structures — companies, trusts, and individualsBegin taking on direct client contact and relationship-building as experience growsUtilise Xero, CAS360, AccountKit, and AI/workflow toolsAbout YouCA/CPA qualified, or actively working towards completion4+ years' public practice accounting experienceSolid technical grounding in tax and financial reportingSome experience reviewing or supervising junior staff, or a clear aptitude for itComfortable managing your own client portfolio and taking ownership of deadlinesKeen to develop client-facing skills and grow into a portfolio-management roleSelf-motivated, detail-focused, and keen to learnTechnologyThe firm operates in a contemporary, digital-first environment and utilises:XeroCAS360AccountKitMicrosoft Excel and OneDriveAI and workflow automation toolsWhat's on OfferClear development pathway toward Client Manager and beyondMentoring from experienced partners and senior staffFlexible/remote working arrangementsQuarterly Longreach visits, fully expensedSupportive team culture in a firm that invests in its people
