This is an exciting opportunity for Senior or Lead Hydrology & Flooding / Drainage engineer to join our growing NSW Hydrology & Flooding Team in Sydney or Newcastle as a Senior member of the team.This will be a start of exploring more growth with a world-class company and various types and scales of projects within but not limited to NSW and ACT.
On a day-to-day basis, you will tackle the delivery of flood assessment on major Transport/Land/Water infrastructure/Dams/Energy projects across NSW/ACT.You will collaborate across disciplines internally and externally with clients and public authorities to address technical queries and drive an optimum engineering solution.As a Senior or Lead Hydrology & Flooding engineer in the NSW Hydrology & Flooding team (Sydney/Newcastle), you will join as a key member that adds to the diversity of thought, skills, and experience of the group.

it's the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart.In this role, you will 'Bring Ideas to Life' for Aurecon and our clients.The role Due to recent project wins in the Transport, Water, Energy and Advisory Markets we are growing our team.In this position, you will play an integral part in an ANZ team of highly skilled flooding specialists that 'bring ideas to life' for our clients.What we are looking for:Bachelor or Masters' level degree in civil or environmental engineering and tertiary qualification10+ years of experience in the flooding industryProficiency in TUFLOW, RORB, WBNM, and XP-RAFTS requiredProficiency in GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS or MapInfoAbility to analyse, interpret and communicate information and modelling resultsStrong understanding of Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) ****Good verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively at an internal levelAbility to deliver the flood modelling tasks on time within the budget,
