Senior Payroll role with AP support, West Perth office-based positionPermanent full-time opportunity with a growing ASX-listed gold producerAn opportunity to join a growing ASX-listed gold producer, this role is responsible for the accurate, timely and compliant operation of payroll while providing support to the Accounts Payable function.Working closely with an external payroll provider, HR and Finance, you will take ownership of payroll governance, reconciliations and compliance, while assisting with AP activities and broader finance support in a collaborative team environment.Core functions of the role include:Internal ownership of the payroll function, working closely with an external payroll providerReviewing and validating payroll prior to finalisationManaging payroll enquiries and resolving payroll discrepanciesPreparing payroll journals, leave provision journals and incentive journalsPayroll tax preparation and compliancePayroll reconciliations,
leave liability analysis and general ledger integrationPreparing audit documentation and supporting statutory reporting requirementsProviding ongoing support across Accounts Payable and wider finance activitiesSupplier reconciliations, payment run support and AP mailbox managementIdentifying and implementing payroll and finance process improvementsAbout youYou are an experienced Payroll professional who enjoys taking ownership of payroll while working closely with Finance and HR in a collaborative environment.Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payrollStrong payroll compliance, reconciliations and payroll tax knowledgeGeneral ledger and month-end payroll accounting exposureAccounts Payable experience, willingness to support the wider finance team outside payrollStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFull Australian working rightsExperience with ProntoMining industry experienceParticularsPermanent full time opportunityFlexible start/finish times and 1 day WFH available once established in the roleStandalone payroll role within a collaborative finance team
