With a strong pipeline of work and a collaborative culture, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead estimating functions and contribute to continued growth within the state business.Your new roleReporting to the State Manager, you will be responsible for leading the estimating and cost planning function, ensuring the successful delivery of competitive tenders and supporting the achievement of business growth objectives.Key responsibilities will include:Efficiently managing the state estimating and cost planning processMaximising profit on turnover through effective tender strategies and commercial decision-makingPreparing and reviewing detailed estimates, cost plans and tender submissions, managing the tender process from inception to submissionMaintaining a thorough understanding of upcoming tender opportunities and market pipelinesSupporting business development activities and contributing to work-winning strategiesDeveloping and maintaining solid relationships with clients, consultants and key industry stakeholdersMonitoring market competitiveness, pricing movements, emerging construction methodologies and cost trendsEnsuring compliance with company systems,
procedures and governance requirementsDriving continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes to maintain market-leading performanceMentoring, coaching and developing estimators within the teamMaintaining strong subcontractor relationships and ensuring best practice procurement and construction delivery outcomesWhat you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this position, you will be able to demonstrate proven experience as a Senior Estimator within the commercial construction industry and a strong background pricing large-scale building projects across multiple sectors.
