For candidates versatile to travel / stop away from home, an attractive inconvenience allowance, accommodation paid and dinner allowance are offered.Role & ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Engineer your roles & responsibilities will include:Management and communication with staff and supply chain; motivate others and develop their skillsControl of information (Drawings / specs / Variations); take ownership of site issues and challengesCompliance with company processes and proceduresCommercial awareness: actively controls material ordering,



reconciliation and Q***** process; ensures robust as built information is available to QS; understands supply chain responsibilities and attendsChallenge materials wastage with staff and supply chain; contribute to CVR / Forecast process; take ownership of Earthworks volumes and strategyPlanning / Programming: maps and sequencing; challenge supply chain progress and efficiency; contribute to wider site team on programme matters; ensure Engineering team works efficiently and in line with maps; provide as built information to PlannerLeadership: development of staff (PDRS / 1-to-1s / mentoring); address poor performance; lead by exampleStakeholder relationship: effective communicator; engages with wider team (Architect / Engineer); respectfully challenges upwards on VE mattersTechnical: understands techniques for setting out; considers ground conditions and temporary works; contributes to Value Engineering and Buildability; understands procurement and manages quality of workmanship and as built recordsRequirementsPrevious employment as a Senior Engineer or an experienced Site Engineer ready for promotionIndustrial & distribution centre project experience preferred; civils / highways projects also consideredTechnical understanding of setting outEligible to work in the UK (employer does not sponsor)UK Driving LicenceRemunerationThe successful Senior Site Engineer will receive:Competitive BasicCar AllowanceHealthcarePensionTo be considered for this vacancy or to find out more information please apply now.Services advertised by Talk Recruitment are that of an employment business and/or agency.
