Discover more via our website.Your next career opportunityThe School of Mathematics and Statistics is seeking to expand its expertise in mathematics and/or statistics education, with an appointment at Level B or C depending on your experience.You will contribute to and lead an innovative academic program of teaching, along with research in mathematics education.You also will contribute to the national and international community through the conduct of research in mathematics education, or scholarship of learning and teaching in mathematics.
There may also be opportunities for the candidate to conduct other discipline-related research.What you will deliverDesign and deliver engaging first- and second-year undergraduate subjects, including lectures, tutorials and computer laboratory classes.Coordinate large undergraduate subjects, ensuring high-quality curricula, assessments,



student support and effective use of digital platforms.Lead school-level innovation in mathematics and statistics education, contributing to curriculum development and improved teaching practices.Provide academic leadership within the MSLC, overseeing tutor recruitment, training, workload allocation and assessment administration.Develop a coherent research or scholarship programme in mathematics education, sharing outcomes through publications, presentations and practice.You may be a great fit if youHold a PhD in mathematics, statistics, or another closely related discipline.Demonstrate excellence in undergraduate mathematics or statistics teaching and curriculum development across varied class sizes.Bring evidence of growing national or international recognition in mathematics education or scholarship of learning and teaching.Lead or coordinate large undergraduate subjects and drive educational innovation in mathematics or statistics.Apply strong organisational and digital literacy skills to manage deadlines, systems,
