About the OpportunityReporting to the BA Practice Team Leader, the Senior Technical Business Analyst plays a critical role within the Program Management Department, supporting complex infrastructure and technology uplift initiatives.
This role will focus on delivering critical infrastructure uplift and lifecycle initiatives, including Network Security Uplift initiatives, firewall and server lifecycle, and in some instances application version uplift.These initiatives are delivered through a mix of project and BAU led delivery models, with impacts ranging from simple to complex integrations across RACV's technology landscape.The Senior Technical BA will work across the full delivery lifecycle, from Discovery/planning through to design and delivery, ensuring business, technical, and security requirements are clearly defined and successfully implemented.
You will collaborate closely with all technology teams to translate business and technical needs into scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.This could be just the right role for youAs a Senior Technical BA, you'll be the bridge between business intent and technical delivery, working closely with architecture, engineering, and delivery teams to shape and drive outcomes.Lead end-to-end business and technical analysis activities across infrastructure initiativesWork across Discovery, Planning, Design and Delivery phases, ensuring alignment from problem definition through to implementationFacilitate workshops with technical SMEs to define requirementsTranslate business requirements into technical requirements, integration points,



and architecture-aligned outputsSupport solution design by collaborating with all project stakeholdersIdentify risks, dependencies, and impacts across infrastructure platformsSupport backlog management, prioritisation, and delivery planning with the project teamsApply BA practice standards, governance, and tooling (Jira, Confluence, etc.)You'll also contribute to the BA Practice by sharing technical insights, uplifting capability, and embedding best practices across the team.Who we are looking for and what you will bringWe are looking for a Senior Technical BA with robust infrastructure experience who thrives in complex, integrated environments and can confidently engage with both technical and business stakeholders.5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, including 3+ years as a Senior Business AnalystProven experience delivering infrastructure or cloud-based initiativesStrong understanding of enterprise infrastructure concepts, including networking and firewallsExperience working with architecture and engineering teams,



translating business needs into requirementsStrong stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical audiencesExperience working across project delivery environments and technology upliftStrong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skillsProficiency with tools such as Microsoft O365 suite, Jira, Confluence, Visio, draw.io, or equivalentExperience with cloud migrations or infrastructure uplift/lifecycle programsExperience with security and compliance programsExperience working with vendors and managed service providersTertiary qualifications in Computer Science, or a related field (essential)Why work for RACV?
