This is a full time position that plays a crucial role in optimising our production operations and ensuring efficient delivery of steel reinforcing products to our customers.
As Senior Steel Reinforcing Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive production schedules that balance customer demands, resource availability and operational efficiency.
Your strategic planning and scheduling expertise will directly impact our ability to meet commitments, minimise waste and maximise profitability across the organisation.Key responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed production schedules that optimise the utilisation of machinery, labour and materialsAnalyse customer orders, delivery requirements and production capacity to create realistic and achievable schedulesMonitor production progress against established schedules and identify potential delays or bottlenecksImplement corrective actions to address scheduling conflicts and maintain on-time delivery performanceCoordinate with production,



sales and logistics teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on prioritiesManage inventory levels and material flow to support production requirements whilst minimising holding costsPrepare reports and analytics on scheduling performance, production metrics and key performance indicatorsIdentify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the scheduling functionTrain and mentor junior scheduling staff, providing guidance and support to develop their capabilitiesLiaise with customers regarding delivery schedules and manage expectations through proactive communicationWhat we're looking forMinimum 5 years of experience in production scheduling, ideally within the steel reinforcing, manufacturing or related industrial sectorProven expertise in using production planning and scheduling software systems, such as ERP platforms or specialist scheduling toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectivelyExcellent knowledge of production planning principles, including capacity planning,
