About the roleReporting to the Group CFO, the Group Financial Controller will have responsibility for the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the Group's financial reporting and control workplace.
You will lead a finance team and work closely with senior management across the organisation, providing strong financial governance while also contributing commercially to business performance and decision-making.
The role will have broad exposure across financial control, management reporting, cash flow, budgeting, compliance, systems and process improvement.Key responsibilitiesLead the Group's financial accounting and reporting function across multiple entitiesOversee the month-end, year-end and financial close processesPrepare and review monthly management accounts and Group financial reportingProvide high-quality financial analysis, reporting and insights to senior managementMaintain a strong financial control environment and ensure the integrity of the Group's financial informationOversee balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger integrity and key accounting processesManage cash flow reporting, working capital and balance sheet performanceLead the annual budgeting and forecasting processesMonitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts and key business objectivesCoordinate the preparation of statutory accounts and other regulatory reportingAbout youCA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualificationSignificant experience in a Financial Controller,
Group Financial Controller or senior finance leadership roleExperience working across multiple entities or business unitsStrong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledgeDemonstrated experience leading month-end and year-end processesStrong understanding of internal controls, governance and financial riskExperience managing and developing finance teamsStrong budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management experienceAdvanced Excel and financial modelling capabilityExperience working with ERP, accounting and reporting systemsExcellent communication and stakeholder-management skillsStrong commercial judgement and analytical capabilityDesirableExperience in a high-volume, operationally complex or service-based organisation would be advantageous.Experience with:Business transformation and finance process improvementERP implementations or system upgradesBusiness intelligence and reporting toolsAcquisitions, integration or corporate restructuringWorking with private equity, institutional investors or other sophisticated stakeholdersThe OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished financial controller to take ownership of a significant Group finance function and work closely with an experienced senior leadership team.The successful candidate will have genuine scope to improve financial processes, strengthen controls, develop the finance function and contribute to the ongoing growth of the business.
