You'll lead design development, create technical documentation, and collaborate directly with clients from concept through to commissioning.
Expect a balance of office‐based design work and hands‐on site involvement including data collection, installation support, troubleshooting, and commissioning.We're looking for a seasoned engineer with robust design skills, practical field experience, and a team-oriented mindset.

suppliers and installation contractorsAbility to manage small project teamsExperience in the preparation of design documentation including drawings, specifications, scopes of work etcExcellent PLC skills – especially Rockwell, Schneider, and SiemensProven SCADA configuration and programming – Aveva, FTView & Honeywell ExperionConfiguration of HMI Systems, such as PanelViews and Magelis/HarmonyWorking knowledge of functional safety and/or machine safety systemsIT server and workstation platforms, including latest Windows and VM environmentsTesting (FAT) and Commissioning (SAT) experience with machinery and materials handlingQualifications/Experience RequiredDegree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering – recognised by the Institution of Engineers Australia as full chartered engineerRegistered Professional Engineer of Queensland or eligible for RPEQ (Mandatory)Minimum of eight (8) years relevant Control Systems engineering experience, predominately in an industrial and consulting environment is expectedPermanent working rights in AustraliaWhy Join UsAt SGA, we are committed to fostering a culture that empowers our people, encourages sustainability, and promotes teamwork and work‐life balance.
