Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Chemical EngineeringUniversity of New South Wales – Kensington NSWJob Type: Permanent position | Full time positionJob Description The Opportunity Join the School of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in a Teaching and Research role.
The role supports strategic growth in sustainable processing, decarbonisation, circularity, digital and AI-enabled chemical engineering, while building on the School's research strengths and delivering teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
As a Lecturer, you will contribute through teaching, curriculum development and scholarly activity, and support students through engaging learning experiences.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will also build a strong research profile, contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement, and provide leadership in teaching, research and curriculum development.Position DetailsSalaryLecturer (Level B) – AUD $133,065 to $156,864 per annum + 17% superannuationSenior Lecturer (Level C) – AUD $161,619 to $185,422 per annum + 17% superannuationEmployment type: Full-timeAppointment type: Fixed term - 2-yearsLocation: Kensington – Sydney, AustraliaReporting line: This role reports to the Head of School and has no direct reportsAbout YouYou are an academic with expertise in chemical engineering or a closely related field, with the ability to contribute to teaching & research aligned with the School's priorities.
You are committed to advancing your discipline knowledge while delivering engaging learning experiences through teaching, assessment, curriculum development and educational technologies.
You will bring experience in teaching, learning design and supporting diverse students, along with a strong commitment to student success.
Success in this role requires a cooperative and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across disciplines, build relationships with industry and professional networks, and contribute to the School's research excellence and future growth.
