Our client is an Australian Government agency within the Finance portfolio.
They support Australians by efficiently delivering high-quality, accessible services and payments on behalf of the government.RoleThe Senior Project Manager will plan and manage the delivery of projects.
You will support the agency by overseeing and ensuring the high quality and consistent delivery of projects.Working under the broad direction of senior staff, Senior Project Managers are responsible for overseeing the management of the design, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of project outputs.
You will play a key role in managing key strategic stakeholders across all tiers of government to drive the implementation and integration of projects at the operational level.In performing a leadership role, Senior Project Managers identify and drive innovation, manage and lead change and have an active role in contributing to and implementing the agency's strategic direction.Key ResponsibilitiesManage, lead and deliver projects that may have an agency wide impactDevelop, implement and evaluate project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency's project management framework and consider project interdependenciesCollaborate with staff in immediate work area and with internal and external stakeholdersOversee project design, governance arrangements and operational integrationEnsure project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budgetLead strategic planning for longer term project initiativesLead and manage staff and oversee the management of performance,



attendance and health and wellbeingDevelop staff capability through coaching and succession planningProvide high level strategic advice and feedback to stakeholders and the agency's executiveResearch, review and evaluate projects within a section or specialist areaReport on project objectives and outputs for presentation to the executive, and oversee ongoing project reportingOversee, review and advise on written material including business cases, plans, reports, executive and ministerial briefs and corporate documentationPlan, manage and monitor financial budgets and oversee the management of contracts, procurement, resources and expenditureIdentify, assess, manage, accelerate, report and monitor project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategiesAnalyse project performance and oversee quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needsDrive innovation, manage and lead change, and actively contribute to and implement the agency's strategic directionEngage,



negotiate and manage key strategic stakeholder relationships to deliver projects and respond to changes in needs and expectationsSkills and Experience RequiredDemonstrated experience delivering complex SAP projects and programsStrong project and program management expertise, including governance, risk, quality and budget managementExperience managing project financials, forecasting, reporting and compliance requirementsProven capability to lead large-scale business and organisational change initiativesExpertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, prioritisation and stakeholder alignmentExceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships at all levelsStrong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and situationsDemonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams Experience implementing quality management practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives Well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution and influencing skills Strong strategic planning and prioritisation capabilities, with a focus on delivering business outcomes Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions using skilled judgement in complex and ambiguous environmentsWhat's on Offer12-month contract + extension optionsHybrid working arrangements availableOpportunity to work for a notable Federal agencyDue to the nature of this role, this job is open to Australian Citizens only.Those who hold a Baseline, NV1/NV2 security clearance are encouraged to apply.Calleo is an equal opportunity employer and we encourage applications from all people including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
