13/9 Sherwood Road, Toowong, QLD, ****, AustraliaJob CategoryTechnologyContact NameGeorgia LindseyContact Phone.Contact ****** Automation AnalystYour recent team Join Technology team specifically within the Testing Team where you will play a crucial role in shaping our automation strategy We are a collaborative group focused on delivering robust and efficient solutions that support Auto General's commitment to quality Our environment fosters continuous learning and technical excellence providing an opportunity to contribute significantly to our architectural and framework evolution We value clear communication problem-solving and a pragmatic approach to technologyThe role As a Senior Automation Analyst you will lead the design development and evolution of our automation frameworks and platforms This role is central to integrating advanced quality gates into our CI CD pipelines and ensuring high standards for all software solutions You will provide technical leadership mentor team members and drive the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance our automation capabilities Lead the architectural design and development of scalable automation frameworks and platforms aligning with enterprise standards Develop and optimise highly reliable UI e g Playwright Cypress and API test automation components focusing on maintainability and performance Architect and implement end-to-end automation pipelines within CI CD platforms e g Bamboo GitLab Bitbucket integrating quality gates Drive software development excellence in quality automation by establishing and enforcing coding standards design patterns and architectural principles Develop advanced monitoring reporting and analytics solutions for automation metrics performing root cause analysis for system failures Provide technical leadership and mentorship fostering continuous learning and adherence to best practices within the team Research and integrate emerging technologies like Al ML to optimise automation development workflows Ensure operational stability and reliability of automation systems providing expert support and contributing to incident resolutionWhat experience you'll bringMinimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Automation Analyst Senior Software Developer or Automation Specialist with a track record of building and maintaining robust software solutionsDeep understanding of software development principles including data structures algorithms object-oriented design architectural patterns and clean code practicesExpert-level proficiency with modern Ul automation frameworks e g Playwright Cypress Solid understanding of REST API development and testing principles and tools e g Postman Experience with designing developing and deploying robust software systemsExtensive knowledge of CI CD platforms and version control systems e g Bamboo Bitbucket GitLab including experience with build tools e g Maven Gradle MSBuild and dependency managementProven experience in technical leadership mentoring and knowledge sharing within a technical team Demonstrated sound skills in problem-solving time and resource management with the ability to work independentlyExcellent communication skills capable of engaging effectively with technical teams business stakeholders and managementA pragmatic solution-focused mindset with resilience and adaptability Highly regarded A degree relating to the Information Technology field from a recognised tertiary institutionExperience with both Ul automation and API unit testing frameworks e g JUnit NUnit Practical experience designing and implementing advanced CI CD pipelines including infrastructure as code lacExtensive hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud-native automation solutions leveraging AWS Azure GCP and container orchestration KubernetesFamiliarity with distributed systems microservices architecture and testing challengesExperience with performance optimisation load testing and system resilience principlesBackground in financial services or other regulated industries is highly desiredLocation Nestled in the heart of Toowong Auto General's Brisbane office is a short 5-minute walk from the Toowong train station and multiple bus stops If you prefer to drive there's plenty of onsite parking As well as the convenience of public transport and parking our Toowong office also boasts end-of-trip facilities a large outdoor space complete with a BBQ and ping-pong table collaborative and quiet working spaces views of the Brisbane River and Mount Coot-tha plus onsite retail and restaurantsThe benefits of working at A&GBe;
