Over the past year, the company has invested heavily in modernising its claims function, introducing new structures, specialist support roles, and improved systems to drive consistency, quality, and transparency.With continued growth and internal movement, the organisation is expanding its permanent claims capability and bringing in experienced professionals to support the next phase of maturity.Your new roleAs a Claims Manager or Senior Claims Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of life insurance claims across Income Protection and Total Permanent Disability.
You will manage claims end‐to‐end, focusing on benefit management, return‐to‐work outcomes, and explicit, defensible decision‐making.Your responsibilities will include:Managing a portfolio of IP and TPD claims (average 50 claims)Assessing entitlement through medical, vocational, and contractual evidenceManaging ongoing benefit payments and pending claimsEngaging with members, employers, and medical providersMaking clear, timely,



and well‐reasoned claim decisionsHandling more complex matters and technical queries (senior level)Contributing to consistent, high‐quality customer outcomesSenior roles operate with greater autonomy and act as a technical reference point.What you'll need to succeedClaims ManagerAt least 12 months' recent experience managing life insurance claimsExposure to Income Protection and/or TPD claimsStrong understanding of benefit management and pending claimsSenior Claims ManagerAt least 2 years' recent experience in IP and TPDStrong knowledge of insurance contracts and complex decision‐makingAbility to manage technical issues independentlyFor both:Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to manage workload in a performance‐focused environmentGenuine interest in supporting members through complex circumstancesWhat you will get in returnCompetitive base salary aligned to experience14% superannuationAdditional wellbeing leave (equivalent to an extra week per year)Hybrid working in Sydney or Brisbane (typically 1–2 days per week in office)Clear internal career pathways into: senior technical roles, quality / risk, training or leadership & coaching functions
