Farrell Transport Group is a rapidly growing bulk haulage company specialising in the transportation of materials across Queensland.As our business continues to, we are looking to strengthen our finance team with an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Officer.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our accounts receivable function.This is an important role within our growing finance team, with responsibility for ensuring invoices are processed accurately, payments are received on time, customer accounts are maintained correctly and outstanding debts are actively managed.The successful candidate will be confident working in a high-volume environment and will have the ability to identify issues, follow up outstanding accounts and work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve queries.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end accounts receivable processMonitor customer accounts and outstanding balancesPerform regular debtor follow-up and collection activitiesAllocate customer payments accurately and maintain account reconciliationsInvestigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepanciesRespond to customer account and invoice enquiriesFollow up overdue accounts and escape issues where requiredMonitor customer credit limits and payment termsAssist with credit control and customer account reviewsPrepare and maintain aged receivables reportsReconcile accounts and investigate discrepanciesWork closely with Operations, Sales and Accounts Payable to resolve billing issuesAssist with month-end reporting and account reconciliationsIdentify opportunities to improve accounts receivable processes and reduce outstanding debtMaintain accurate and up-to-date customer recordsProvide support and guidance to other members of the accounts team as requiredAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is experienced, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of the accounts receivable function.You will ideally have:Previous experience in a Senior Accounts Receivable or Credit Control roleStrong understanding of accounts receivable processesExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong reconciliation and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and follow-up skillsConfidence dealing with customers regarding overdue accounts and payment issuesAbility to prioritise and manage a high volume of transactionsStrong computer and Excel skillsExperience with Xero is highly desirableExperience in transport, logistics, construction or a similar high-volume industry is advantageousWhat We OfferJoin a rapidly growing Queensland businessOpportunity to play an important role in the growth of the finance teamStable, full-time positionSupportive and rapid-paced working environmentOpportunity to improve and develop financial processesLong-term career opportunity within a growing organisation
