Contracts Manager – Telecommunications / InfrastructureMelbourne / Hybrid | Contract to December ****An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a major organisation supporting telecommunications and infrastructure projects.Working closely with project teams and reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will provide commercial and contractual support across project delivery, supply chain management, claims, variations and commercial risk.This is a hybrid position, ideally based in Melbourne, with the office located close to Richmond Station.The initial contract runs through to 31 December ****, with potential for extension or permanency for the right person.The Role You will act as a key commercial interface between project teams, clients and subcontractors, providing practical commercial advice and ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed.Key responsibilities include:Providing commercial and contractual support to project teamsManaging commercial relationships with clients and the supply chainLeading negotiations relating to variations, claims and contract renewalsDeveloping strategies for potential and emerging contractual disputesIdentifying and mitigating commercial and contractual risksSupporting contract administration, policies,
processes and proceduresManaging subcontractor onboarding and preparation of supply chain contracts and work ordersSupporting revenue assurance initiatives and minimising revenue leakageEnsuring relevant statutory and contractual complianceWorking closely with operational, legal, finance and other internal stakeholdersBuilding strong relationships with customers and project stakeholdersAbout You To be successful, you will bring:5+ years' experience in commercial and contract managementStrong commercial acumen and the ability to drive commercial outcomesSound understanding of contract and construction lawExperience with project commercial administrationDemonstrated experience managing claims, variations, negotiations and contractual issuesStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to work autonomously and hit the ground runningA practical, team-oriented and customer-focused approachPrevious experience within telecommunications and/or construction will be highly regarded.Applicants must be Australian Citizens and will be required to complete a Police Check.What's on OfferInitial contract through to 31 December ****Hybrid working arrangementMelbourne/Cremorne location preferred, although Melbourne-based candidates are not mandatoryOpportunity to work across significant telecommunications projectsPotential for extension or permanency based on performance and business requirements
