From creating solutions for our clients to building careers for our people, we shape what matters , and that's where you come in.About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing Business Services team in Sydney, supporting a portfolio of complex, internationally connected clients.This role operates within our outsourced finance function, where we work alongside clients on an ongoing basis to deliver financial reporting and compliance outcomes throughout the year.You will support a portfolio of clients with monthly and quarterly reporting, tax compliance, and financial management, working as an extension of their finance function.This provides earlier visibility of issues, more meaningful client interaction, and a stronger understanding of how businesses operate in practice.Our client baseEuropean inbound groups operating in Australia across sectors including med‐tech, engineering, SaaS and renewablesGlobal and listed fund managers with real estate and infrastructure investmentsHow we workWe partner closely with our clients and their global stakeholdersWe deliver work on a continuous reporting cycle, rather than a year‐end focusWe proactively identify accounting and tax matters and work with clients and their auditors to resolve them in a timely mannerWe regularly review and improve our processes,



with a focus on efficiency and consistencyWe work with a range of client systems including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Yardi, MRI and XeroWe are actively incorporating automation and AI, working closely with BDO's AI Labs teamOur teamYou will join a well‐supported team with:3 Partners and 4 Managers actively involved in client deliveryResponsibility for a significant and complex client baseA collaborative and stable team environment, with strong retention and long tenureTwo of our Partners have progressed through the team, reflecting our focus on internal development and long‐term careers.What you will gainExposure to complex international and institutional clientsExperience across multiple finance systems and reporting environmentsOngoing client interaction, including with offshore stakeholders and auditorsThe opportunity to build commercial and operational understanding, not just technical skillsCareer progression opportunities as the team continues to growYou will bring3-6 years' experience in business services or a similar environmentStrong accounting and tax compliance capabilityAn interest in working more closely with clients on an ongoing basisThe ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environmentCuriosity and willingness to adopt new systems and ways of working.Why BDO?
