This is a senior-level technical role focused on secure network design, escalations, client onboarding, and project delivery.Based in Brisbane, this is a hybrid role combining work from home with on-site client engagement as required.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring our clients' network and security environments are robust, resilient, and aligned with best practice frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 3 support for complex network and security incidentsDesign and implement secure network architectures across on-premises and cloud environmentsLead network and security components of client onboarding, refreshes, and infrastructure projectsAct as a trusted consulting engineer for high-priority clients, advising on network security posture and performanceTake ownership of major incident response, particularly across firewalls, connectivity, and security eventsStrengthen client environments through proactive security improvements and risk mitigationMentor engineers and contribute to network/security standards, documentation, and knowledge sharingParticipate in client reviews and initiatives to improve service quality and security maturityEnsure all solutions align with industry best practices and recognised security frameworksWhat You'll Bring5 - 7+ years' experience in networking within an MSP environment (essential)Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate), FortiManager,



ubiquiti unifi and BarracudaDeep understanding of network security principles, including VPNs (IPSec/SSL), IDS/IPS, Zero Trust, segmentation, and access controlAdvanced knowledge of routing and switching (BGP, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, STP)Experience designing and supporting secure multi-site network environmentsStrong experience with Azure networking and security, including:Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and peeringNetwork Security Groups (NSGs) and Azure FirewallVPN Gateways and hybrid connectivityPrivate Endpoints and secure service accessManaging and deploying virtual firewallsFamiliarity with identity-driven security (Entra ID / Azure AD integration with network controls)Experience with enterprise wireless networks (design, optimisation, security)Solid troubleshooting skills across All OSI layersExperience with network monitoring tools such as PRTG and AuvikExcellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risk into business impactProven ability to lead projects and mentor peersWhy Join Us?
