Working across homelessness and housing, youth and family services, disability inclusion, community programs and sector advocacy, the organisation now delivers services across more than 80% of regional NSW.Reporting directly to the CEO and working as an influential member of the leadership team, the Senior Manager – Aboriginal Leadership and Engagement will provide strategic leadership across our client's approach to Aboriginal workforce development, cultural capability, community engagement and culturally responsive service delivery.This is an organisation-wide role with the opportunity to influence strategy, leadership practice and the way the organisation partners with Aboriginal communities, organisations and networks.The opportunityYou will work across Social Futures to strengthen cultural capability and ensure Aboriginal perspectives are genuinely considered in organisational decision‐making, workforce initiatives,



program development and service delivery.You will also build and maintain trusted relationships with Aboriginal organisations, communities, partners and networks, ensuring engagement is meaningful, respectful and contributes to better outcomes.Key areas of focus will include:Providing strategic advice to the CEO and leadership team on Aboriginal engagement, cultural capability and organisational prioritiesLeading and strengthening the organisation's Aboriginal workforce strategy, including capacity building and career development initiativesSupporting leaders to effectively manage, develop and support Aboriginal employeesCoordinating the ongoing development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of their Reconciliation Action PlanBuilding strong, productive relationships with Aboriginal communities, organisations, networks, partners and advisory groupsStrengthening the cultural capability of staff across the organisationInfluencing culturally appropriate program development and service deliveryDeveloping systems and approaches to monitor and strengthen organisational cultural performanceLeading and influencing organisational change, including addressing barriers arising from historical practices and racismCreating opportunities for collaboration,



knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the organisationAbout youYou will be an experienced Aboriginal leader who brings credibility, strong relationships and the ability to influence at both a strategic and community level.You understand that meaningful change is built through relationships and trust, while also having the confidence to challenge thinking, navigate complex conversations and influence organisational decision‐making.You will bring:Solid and established connections with Aboriginal organisations, communities and individualsDemonstrated experience in consultation, stakeholder and community engagementExperience in strategic planning, project management and organisational changeStrong leadership experience within community, health, human services or a related environmentHighly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skillsThe confidence and credibility to work with senior leaders and provide considered advice, including on complex or challenging mattersStrong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across a geographically dispersed organisationRelevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant relevant experience in areas such as business, project management, community services, social welfare or a related disciplineEmployment requirementsCurrent National Police Check and Working with Children Check are required as a condition of employment.This position is identified for Aboriginal people.
