Working within the School of Finance , you will contribute specialist expertise to the design and enhancement of curriculum, digital learning experiences, and teaching resources for this innovative postgraduate program.
Collaborating with academic colleagues , industry practitioners and key stakeholders, you will help shape a contemporary and industry relevant student learning experience at the intersection of finance and emerging technolog ies ,
while supporting the design and development of project-based curriculum initiatives.Your key responsibilities will be to:Develop and enhance curriculum for the new digital postgraduate programdesign engaging learning experiences and teaching resourcescontribute specialist expertise to course and unit development activitiescollaborate with academic colleagues to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomessupport project-based curriculum development and implementation initiatives.About youa PhD in Finance, Financial Economics, or a closely related discipline, with expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or computational methods applied to financedemonstrated expertise in applying artificial intelligence and machine-learning methods to finance, financial markets, financial institutions, investment, risk management, financial analytics, or related areasstrong technical capability in relevant programming languages and analytical tools, such as Python, R, machine-learning frameworks, large language models, natural language processing, or related computational technologiesdemonstrated knowledge of current and emerging developments in finance, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and their application within financial services and businessexperience in curriculum design, development, and teaching within a tertiary education environment, preferably in finance, financial technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, or a related fielddemonstrated ability to design and deliver rigorous, engaging, and industry-relevant learning experiencesa demonstrated commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching and learning,
including the development of student-centred educational experiences that integrate financial theory, technical skills, and real-world applicationsexperience collaborating effectively with academic colleagues, industry partners, professional staff, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality educational outcomesstrong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timelinesexcellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and technical concepts to diverse audiencesdemonstrated ability to contribute positively to an inclusive, collegial, collaborative, and high-performing academic community.Senior Lecturer (Level C) who, in addition to the above, has demonstrated capacity to:provide leadership in teaching, curriculum development, and educational innovationlead curriculum design, renewal, and quality enhancement initiatives that improve student learning and graduate outcomescontribute to academic administration, governance, and strategic initiatives at discipline, School, Faculty, or University levelmentor and support colleagues and students to achieve academic, professional, and career successestablish and maintain productive relationships with industry, academic, and professional partners that enhance teaching, learning, and student outcomes.Work RightsYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
