It's about having the time, support, resources and people around you to do your job properly.That's why our hospital is structured to support our veterinarians rather than simply expecting them to manage everything themselves.With approximately two support staff for every veterinarian, you'll have a dedicated team around you to assist with patient care, procedures, hospital work and client communication.About UsWe have a dedicated and loyal client base who have come to expect a high degree of communication, compassion and quality veterinary care from our team.Our clients value the relationships we build with them and trust us with some of the most important members of their families.Our hospital provides a varied caseload, including general consultations, emergency presentations, medical cases and a broad range of surgical procedures.You'll work alongside experienced veterinarians and support staff who are committed to sharing knowledge, helping each other and maintaining a positive workplace.We believe a good veterinary hospital should be a place where people enjoy coming to work, feel supported by their colleagues and can continue developing professionally.The RoleThis is a full-time Senior Associate Veterinarian position, working 38 hours per week across 4 days.Your role will include:General small animal consultationsEmergency and urgent-care casesMedicine and preventative healthcare A wide variety of surgical procedures Dentistry and dental radiography Diagnostic workups and case management Client education and communication Working collaboratively with our veterinary and nursing teams Supporting less experienced team members through your knowledge and experience We are looking for someone who is confident managing cases independently but also understands the value of asking questions, collaborating with colleagues and using the wider team's experience when needed.
Working hours Weekday shifts vary, with start times commencing between 6:30am and 9am, and concluding between 5pm and 7:30pm for 9.5hr shifts.
Weekend/Public Holiday shifts commence between 6:30am and 7:00am, and concluding between 5pm and 5:30pm, for 9.5hr shifts.
Total weekly hours are 38 per week, 76 per fortnight, with 4-week rosters provided in advance.
There is no compulsory on-call requirement.
Where appropriate, after-hours work may be undertaken at your discretion and on your terms, with additional bonus remuneration available.

A team designed to support you One of the biggest advantages of this role is our staffing structure.
We aim for approximately 2 support staff per veterinarian.
That means you aren't expected to be the veterinarian, nurse, receptionist, surgical assistant and hospital attendant all at once.
Our experienced support team helps you focus on what you do best — providing excellent veterinary medicine and patient care.
Our hospital is equipped with: Digital radiography IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment Fully equipped surgical facilities Dedicated consultation and treatment spaces Up-to-date hospitalisation areas EzyVet practice management software Fully equipped house-call vehicles A broad range of diagnostic and treatment equipment You'll have the tools and infrastructure necessary to confidently manage a varied caseload.
A diverse and interesting caseload No two days are exactly the same.
You'll have the opportunity to manage everything from routine preventative healthcare through to complex medical cases, emergencies and surgical procedures.

Working 38 hours over 4 days provides a genuine additional day away from the hospital each week.
