Operations Manager | Senior Leadership Opportunity
An established and highly respected commercial HVAC contractor is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join its senior leadership team as the second in charge to the Group Manager.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a role with genuine influence across the business.
You'll work alongside senior leadership to drive operational excellence, improve business performance and lead a high performing service division across multiple locations.
This position is suited to an experienced leader who understands the commercial HVAC service industry, is commercially astute, and enjoys leading people, improving systems and delivering exceptional client outcomes.
Regular interstate travel will form part of the role as you work closely with regional teams to ensure consistency, accountability and continued growth.
The opportunity reports directly to the Group Manager, and you will take ownership of the operational performance of the service business, providing leadership, support and direction to managers and their teams.
You will be responsible for driving efficiencies, improving processes, mentoring leaders and ensuring the business continues to deliver outstanding service while achieving its commercial objectives.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll have the autonomy to influence change and contribute to the future direction of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor Service Managers, Supervisors and operational teams
Drive operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives
Review business performance and implement strategies to improve productivity




Oversee service delivery across multiple branches and regions
Support the management of budgets and P&L; performance
Review and manage service contracts to ensure commercial outcomes are achieved
Develop reporting, systems and operational processes
Build robust relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders
Work closely with the Group Manager to execute strategic business initiatives
Travel interstate to support regional operations and leadership teams
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring strong leadership experience from within the commercial HVAC service industry and understand what it takes to lead people while delivering commercial results.
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience within a commercial HVAC service environment
Strong understanding of service operations and maintenance contracts
Exposure to financial management, budgeting and P&L; accountability
Experience leading multiple teams and developing high performing leaders
Robust commercial and operational acumen
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement
Willingness to travel interstate as required
