Senior Electrical Engineer – Mining / EPCMThis is a hands‐on electrical design role for an engineer with strong experience working within an engineering design consultancy or EPCM environment.
You will be responsible for preparing and delivering electrical engineering packages across study, FEED and detailed design phases for mining and mineral processing projects.Key responsibilitiesPrepare and maintain electrical load lists and load schedulesDevelop and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)Prepare electrical equipment lists, motor lists and MCC schedulesPrepare cable schedules and perform cable sizingPerform load flow, short circuit, voltage drop and protection coordination calculationsPrepare electrical design criteria, philosophies and technical specificationsPrepare equipment datasheets and procurement packagesSize and select transformers, switchboards, MCCs, motors, VSDs and associated equipmentDevelop earthing and lightning protection requirementsReview vendor drawings,
calculations and technical submissionsAbout youDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering8+ years' relevant experienceHands‐on experience within an engineering design consultancy or EPCM workplace is essentialProven ability to independently prepare electrical engineering deliverablesMining, mineral processing or heavy industrial project experienceStrong knowledge of LV/MV distribution, MCCs, motors, VSDs and industrial electrical systemsExperience with crushing, conveying, materials handling and process plants highly regardedGood knowledge of relevant Australian StandardsStrong multidisciplinary coordination and communication skillsBased in Melbourne or Perth, or able to relocateAbout usMincore is an engineering consultancy delivering projects across the mining, mineral processing and resources sectors.
