Work with one of Australia's leading fertility and IVF providersBe part of a highly skilled and collaborative scientific teamAccess leading reproductive technologies and laboratory practicesContribute to life-changing patient outcomes every dayOngoing professional development and learning opportunitiesSupportive and inclusive workplace cultureOpportunity to contribute to research, innovation and continuous improvementAbout the RoleAs a Senior Embryologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality embryology and andrology services within an accredited laboratory environment.Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will utilise your technical expertise across a broad range of reproductive technologies while supporting quality, compliance and exceptional patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform embryology and andrology procedures independentlyConduct semen analysis and sperm preparation for IUI,
IVF and ICSICulture and manipulate gametes and embryosPerform embryo grading and assessment for transfer and cryopreservationUndertake cryopreservation of gametes and embryosPerform embryo biopsy for PGT following competency-based trainingMaintain accurate laboratory documentation and patient recordsParticipate in internal and external quality assurance programsSupport training and mentoring of developing scientistsCollaborate with clinicians, nurses and scientists to deliver exceptional patient outcomesContribute to research, innovation and continuous improvement initiativesAbout YouYou are a skilled embryologist who is passionate about scientific excellence and delivering meaningful outcomes for patients and families.You will bring:A degree in Science with training and experience in reproductive biology and assisted reproductive technologiesSignificant experience in clinical embryology and/or andrologyStrong technical expertise across IVF laboratory proceduresExcellent attention to detail and documentation skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsA commitment to quality, continuous improvement and patient-centred careThe following will be highly regarded:Higher qualifications in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. MSc)Previous experience in embryo biopsy and PGT proceduresUnderstanding of laboratory quality management systemsExperience working within an accredited laboratory environmentOur Commitment to InclusionAt Virtus, diversity, equity and inclusion are fundamental to who we are.
